Creating Unique Thumbnails in Photoshop

Making unique thumbnails is very easy, but many people do not know how to do it. This photoshop tutorial will show you a simple way of creating unique thumbnails.
- Step 1
Before you start, you need to decide what size you want your thumbnail images to be. Then, create new photoshop document.
- Step 2
Next step is to use Pencil Tool to draw the shape of the thumbnail pixel by pixel. Zoom in to make your job easier. Use your imagination and experiment with different shapes to find the desired result.
- Step 3

Insert the image that you want to use. Make sure that the image layer is under the layer with your thumbnail shape[you should see black border on top of the image].

Now click on the image layer and using Rectangular Marquee Tool delete parts of the image that are outside of the thumbnail shape.

- Step 4
Now all you need to do is to save the file as Transparent GIF or if you want to save it in another format, you can create 'background layer' and fill it with the background color of your website.
